Warranty and Duration

Our Goods come with a six (6) months’ manufacturer warranty against defects commencing from the date of purchase from us (“Warranty Period”), however, you may still be protected under consumer laws beyond the Warranty Period.


This warranty against defects does not apply to defects or damage caused by misuse, exposure to liquid or excessive heat, abnormal use, abuse or defects or damage caused by external events outside of Our control.


If You discover a fault or manufacturer defect, you must cease using the Goods and if it is within the Warranty Period you have the right to seek for the Goods to be repaired or replaced.

 Australian Consumer Law

Please note that this Warranty Policy does not impact your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and Regulations. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. The warranties and item support that we offer and provide pursuant to our Terms and Conditions are in addition to the consumer warranties and guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.


Lodging a Warranty Request


To claim under this warranty you can return the defective Goods to us at your expense, together with proof of purchase, within the Warranty Period. You will be requested to provide a description of the defect and your personal details. We will inspect the returned Product. If on inspection of the returned Goods we determine that the defect is covered by this warranty, we will either make suitable repairs or provide a replacement. If we determine that the defect is not covered by this warranty, we will provide You with a full explanation, and if requested, the Goods will be returned to You at your cost.

If, at any stage, your Product is found to be defective within the Warranty Period and it is repaired, the Warranty Period on the Product will not extend the original Warranty Period.

In the event of a particular part failing, Little Riders Australia will supply parts required free of charge. The new parts will need to be collected from our warehouse. Where parts have to be posted customer will be required to pay for postage. In the event of an item not working after replacement parts are installed, the buyer is responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. Item can be dropped off at our warehouse or posted to us. Postage cost will not be refunded by Little Riders Australia.


Warranty Costs and Claims

If you make a claim under this warranty, You must bear your own costs (postage is non-refundable) to transport the defective Goods to us (and you acknowledge that we carry no responsibility whatsoever in the event that the Goods are damaged in transit) and you must also provide a description as to the nature of the defect. If we determine on inspection that the Goods are defective and such defect is covered under this warranty, We will either repair or replace the Goods and send the Goods to you at our cost. If you have incurred reasonable costs. If on inspection, we determine that the Goods are without defect, You must pay our costs of service work and testing, as well as costs of returning the Goods to You.


After the Goods are sent back to you


If at any time We send the Goods back to your nominated address, You acknowledge that you will not hold us responsible for the Goods (and release us in all respects) in the event that the Goods are damaged whilst in transit.

You acknowledge that all parcels we send have authority to be left at a safe place at a residence and will not be left in any place that the courier deems unsafe to theft. If a customer does not prefer to have an authority to leave, the customer must contact us and advise before ordering and may incur a re-delivery fee.  You acknowledge that you will not hold us responsible (and release us in all respects) in the event that the Goods are damaged or stolen.


Our warranty does not cover the batteries provided as they are Acid battery and the life of the battery is based on how well they are looked after. It is important to follow best practice for charging your car which is charging it for no less that 8 hours and no more than 12 hours as any longer that that will begin damaging the battery. It is best practice to charge your ride on car battery to the full before putting it to the storage. If ride on car is not being used for longer periods then you must charge the battery at least once a month, to keep the battery in optimum condition.

Minor cosmetic imperfections. As these cars are mass production and made of plastic, sometimes under manufacturing process and pressure there maybe some minor imperfections visible on the car. These minor cosmetic issues are also not covered under the warranty terms. We of course work with our suppliers to ensure the cars are made under the best condition and quality control is done at every step of the way.

This warranty is not available for: • change of mind or incorrect order by you; • damage due to misuse by you or the user; • any accessories or bonus gifts, including (but limited to) batteries, carry bags, etc; • cosmetic damage, to boxes, packaging or exterior surfaces (including during transit); • damage caused by use with another item; • damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, earthquake or other external cause; • damage caused by operating an item outside any guidelines published for use; • items that have been modified to alter functionality or capability without the prior written permission of Factory Buys; • Problem with the Goods was drawn to Your attention before the Product was purchased; and; • defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal ageing of the Item, • if we believe the item is stolen based on information provided by law enforcement authorities, or • Where proof of purchase (invoice or paid Order confirmation) cannot be provided.

Limitations to Warranty Against Defects


If You are a “consumer” as defined in the ACL and you suffer injury or consequential loss including loss to your property which is ordinarily and actually used for personal use, as a result of using our Goods, you may have a right to compensation against Us. However, You can only recover reasonably foreseeable losses that would probably result from our failure to meet your consumer guarantee. Additionally, We are not responsible for problems with the Goods that are beyond our control.

We are not liable if:

  • the Goods were not defective when supplied by the manufacturer; or
  • the defect was that the state of scientific or technical knowledge at the time when they were supplied by the actual manufacturer was not such as to enable that defect to be discovered; or
  • We are able to rely on statutory powers to limit our liability.

If you are not a consumer as per the definition of the ACL, We limit our liability to the lowest cost among the following:

  • replacing the goods;
  • obtaining equivalent goods; or
  • repairing the goods.
